Seasonal Wreath – Merry Christmas

Hi!  It has been a busy day, but I have a quick Holiday card for you today for the current Jingle Belles Embossing challenge and I opted to use the Paper Craft Crew (#505) Sketch.

I am a great fan of White-on-White and a Clean and Simple Style for Holiday Cards. Here is the result:

Steps:

• Case Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White Thick cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Seasonal Wreath 3D Embossing Folder.
• Cross Strip: (4¼” x ⅜”) Brushed Metallic cardstock – Gold Color die-cut with the Stitched Scallop die from the Penned Flowers Dies set.
  • I opted to use this element in the lower position.
• Sentiment Cross Strip Banner: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Merry Christmas, from the retired Many Merry Messages stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the Stitched Label die from the now retired (but still available) Apple Blossoms Dies set.

The embossed panel was slightly off-set and the scalloped cross strip and sentiment banner were added to resemble the sketch.  The sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.  To keep the card clean and simple I chose to add the sentiment to the banner instead of adding it to the top right corner.

The depth of texture of the Seasonal Wreath makes this a very attractive Christmas card.
