Happiness Abounds – Floral Birthday

Welcome back!  Getting a chance to play today.  Hope you are having a great weekend!

Challenges: Atlantic Hearts (#512) for the flipped Sketch: Just Us Girls (#667) for the Roses within the Mood Board; and Color Throwdown (#730) for both the colors and the photo inspiration.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Case Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Blushing Bride cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
• Left-Side Diagonal: (3½” x 5½”) Old Olive cardstock die-cut with the Square Lattice die from the Split Card Textures Dies set.
  • The edge was hand-torn.
• Right-Side Diagonal: (3” x 5¼”) Soft Floral Leaf patterned piece of paper from the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper pack cut to fit under the edge of the Lattice.
• Both Diagonals were adhered to the Vanilla panel.
• Cross Strip: (1¼” x 4”) Vellum cardstock chosen to add softness and the fact that you can see the background through it.
• Focal Shapes – Roses: Dotted patterned pieces of paper from 2022/2023 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack in Blushing bride and So Saffron.
  • The large and small Rose images, from the Happiness Abounds stamp set were stamped with Old Olive ink and die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Blossoming Happiness Dies set.
• Focal Accents – Leaves: Pear Pizzazz cardstock scraps.
  • The Leaf image from the same stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink and also die-cut with the coordinating die.
• Sentiment Banner: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, again from Happiness Abounds, was stamped with Old Olive ink and die-cut with the Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the flipped sketch with two of the Roses and the Banner popped up with Dimensionals.

A lovely soft pallet of colors and I took inspiration from the both the Just Us Girls Mood Board and the Color Throwdown Photo image.  What a nice Birthday card this turned out to be.
