Welcome back! Another Birthday card for you. A friend is about to celebrate…
I have combined Use your Stuff (#477) with the Paper Players (#627) colors for the Freshly Made (#573) sketch.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Case Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Shimmery White cardstock dry-embossed with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.
- Striped Cross Panel: (5¼” x 3”) Shimmery White cardstock.
- The panel was water-colored with the Wide-Tipped Water Painter Brush using Crumb Cake ink in the center, So Saffron ink on either side, Balmy Blue ink next to and Petal Pink on the edges.
- Once dry, the sentiment, the number of years…, from the retired Number of Years stamp set was stamped with 2nd Generation (stamped-off once) Soft Suede ink.
- The sentiment was boxed in and dry-embossed using the (3¼” x 1¼”) Stitched Rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies set and the Big Shot Embossing Mats.
- Emphasis was added to the Rectangle, by adding a water-color outline with Crumb Cake ink using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the same stamp set was added below the Rectangle with Balmy Blue ink.
- The bottom edge of the painted panel was torn.
- Numbers: Balmy Blue cardstock scrap.
- The Numbers 4 and 2 were die-cut using the dies from the Alphabet a la Mode Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch
A soft colored card for a spring birthday. I think she will like it.
