Well, the 14th has rolled around. Happy Valentine’s Day! Each card I have made my husband asks, “Is this for me?” Today, it is. He is not a terribly fussy kind of guy and I like how simple this card was to create.
I picked the Inspired By (#224) theme, colors and general sketch and thought this would work well with the current Can You Handle the Pressure (#25) twist.
Note – working with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brushes both Clear and the retired Gold was a bit tricky and a little hard to control, but I like how soft and sparkly the glitter made the small details.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Case Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Happy Hearts Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
- Selected Hearts were colored with the Light Petal Pink and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Markers.
- Two Hearts were outlined with the retired Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
- These Eight Hearts were lightly colored with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
- Four additional Hearts were colored with the Light Petal Pink color and then heavily covered with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
- Sentiment Tag: Petal Pink cardstock scrap.
- The word, LOVE, from the WITH LOVE sentiment found in the True Beauty stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
- The word, was closely trimmed and flagged with Paper Snips.
For this clean and simple Valentine, the focal panel was adhered to the card base and the sentiment was popped up with Mini Dimensionals.
