Count on Me to Send Love Your Way

I think this will wrap up all of the outstanding Valentine type challenges that are still out there.  Hope you are having a Red-Hot Day!

The line-up: Double Trouble (#131) partnering with Try Stampin’ On Tuesdays (#593) for the theme and the sketch.  Tic Tac Toe (#196) Line #1 for Heart, Red and Stitching.  The Four Seasons (February) Mood Board for overall color selection and theme in box 3, Shopping Our Stash (#490) for the Letter “B” and Make My Monday (#194) for Creatures – Great or Small.

Here is the result:

COUNT ON ME – GRACEFUL TILES – DT131 – TSOT593 – TTTC196 – TFSC February – SOS490 – MMM194

Steps:

  • Case Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Left Panel (2” x 5¼”) Smoky Slate Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2022/2023 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Right Panel: (1⅞” x 5¼”) Small Heart patterned piece of paper from the retired Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Melon Mambo Hearts were colored over with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • Center Panel: (2¼” x4”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, sending love your way, from the Graceful Tiles stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • The panel was dry-embossed with the retired Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder for a little texture.
  • Flag: (1” x ⅝”) Real Red cardstock scrap die-cut with a Stitched Flag die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Stitched Hearts: Real Red and Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • Two Heart dies (2½” x 2¼”) and (1⅝” x 1½”) from the retired Hearts Framelits Dies set were nested and die-cut from the red color and the smaller Heart from the white.
    • Using the Basic Black (on red) and Smoky Slate (on white) Stampin’ Write Markers, Faux Stitching was added.
  • Focal Image – Penguin with Balloon: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Penguin was stamped with Versamark ink and also heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Dark Real Red, Smoky Slate and Calypso Coral.
    • The image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  I just love that little creature – the Penguin and his Red Balloon floating on by sending love your way.

Thanks for indulging me a third time today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
