Sending Congrats – Anniversary Celebrations

Another afternoon of fun!

Retro Rubber (#199) for getting to use well-loved retired stamp sets and a play with colors; Saturday Sketch (#718) and the Anniversary theme twist; Inspiration Station (#46) Inspiration Prompt Photo of the Loving Couple; Cup Cake Inspiration (#562) for the Gal & Guy Cupcakes; and Just Us Girls (#665) for the addition of the Crumb Cake (Tan) color along with the Pink and substituting Cream for White.

Here is the result:

SEND A CELEBRATION – CONGRATS – RRCB199 – SS718 – ISC46 – CIC562 – JUGS665

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) retired Pink Pirouette cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock die-cut with the Dots & Spots Die and then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a little bit of texture.
  • Center Shape – Bursting Envelope: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Floral Explosion Envelope image from the retired Send A Celebration stamp set (circa 2006) was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
    • The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends MarkersFlowers – retired Dark Pink Pirouette, Envelope – Light Crumb Cake, Central Heart – Light Polished Pink, and Background Shading – Light Mint Macaron.
    • The image was fussy cut with Paper Snips.
  • Side Shapes – Two-Tone Scalloped Circles: Brushed Silver and Soft Sea Foam cardstock scraps.
    • The Brushed Silver (2”) Scalloped Circle was die-cut with one of the elements from the All That Dies set.
    • The center of the Scalloped Circle was die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • Additional Stitched Circles were die-cut from Soft Sea Foam cardstock, acting as a neutral color, and fitted into the centers of the Scalloped Circles.
  • Sentiment Labels: Pink Pirouette cardstock scraps.
    • The sentiments, Congratulations and on another year of happy togetherness, from the retired Congrats stamp set (circa 2009) were also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiments were then trimmed.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Envelope and Sentiments were popped up with Dimensionals
