Butterfly Brilliance – Follow Your Dreams

Shall we have a play date?  Several challenges are coming due, so I am trying to catch up.  Enjoy!

Tic Tac Toe (#195) for the Butterfly, TGIF (#406) for the Color, Paper Players (#626) for the Music and Sunday Stamps (#302) for the Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.
  • The Music Notes were lightly highlighted using a Blending Brush and Smoky Slate ink.
• Circle Element – Wreath: (4¼” x 4¼”) Vellum die-cut with the Leafy Wreath die from the Natural Prints Dies set.
• Focal Image – Butterflies: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • Two of the Butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
  • The Butterflies were water-colored with Tahitian Tide and Gorgeous Grape ink using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
  • The Butterflies were then die-cut using the coordinating Butterfly dies from the Brilliant Wings Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: Smoky Slate cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Follow Your Dreams, from the Though It Together stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with one of the Label dies from the Sending Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Butterflies were popped up with Dimensionals. 

Be still my heart as I chase those pretty Butterflies..
