Valentine Sweets – Hugs! – The Inque Spot Studio

There are a few Valentines Candy inspired challenges with upcoming deadlines and I thought I would have a go…

Inspired By (#223) for the theme, colors and a loose interpretation of the sketch and Color Dare (#534) inspiration photo for the theme and the colors.

Here is the result:

BRUSHED SHAPES DIES – THROUGH IT TOGETHER – IB223 – CD534

Steps:

Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock
Ribbon Candy: Cardstock scraps from my Bin: Pink – Blushing Bride, Blue – Tahitian Tide, Green – Bermuda Bay and Red – Sweet Sorbet for the Sugar Heart and the Candy Heart Lettering were selected.
- The Ribbon Candies were die-cut using dies from the Brushed Shapes Dies set.
- The Heart was adhered to the piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and fussy cut with Paper Snips.
Sentiment Circular Shape: Blushing Bride cardstock scrap.
- The truncated word, Hug, from one of the sentiments found in the Though it Together stamp set was colored with the Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Wrtite Marker and stamped with the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool.
- The “s” and the (!) were added free hand to complete the word Hugs!

All of the shapes were adhered to the card base and the sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.
