Two-Tone Flora – Galentine Card

I am on the ball!  Getting the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday Sketch (#394) actually done on Tuesday.

My choices were influenced by the Festive Friday (#127) Galentine’s Day, The Card Concept (#188) Floral Valentine and Ellibelle’s Corner Crafty Wednesday (February) Anything Goes challenges.

Here is the result:

FANCY FLORA SUITE – CT394 – FF0127 – TCC188 – ECC February

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Fresh Freesia cardstock (for the lighter pink color)
  • Background Tri-Panels: (4” x 4½”) Fresh Freesia Fine Shimmer Paper.
    • The Fine Shimmer Paper was die-cut with the Floral Cut-Out die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies set.
    • The chads were mostly removed, and the sheet was cut in three pieces, each (4” x 1½”).
  • Frame: (3¾” x 5”) Fresh Freesia cardstock die-cut with the Open Frame die from the Fabulous Frames Dies set.
  • Focal Image – Floral Spray: Basic White cardstock scraps.  Images from the Two-Tone Flora stamp set.
    • Flowers – Two-Step Stamping.
      • (1) Base – Fresh Freesia ink stamped off and Highlight – Polished Pink ink.
      • (2) Base – Fresh Freesia ink and Highlight – Polished Pink ink
      • (3) Base – Polished Pink ink stamped off and Highlight – Fresh Freesia ink.
      • (4) Leaves – Granny Apple Green ink.
    • All images were die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Two-Tone Flora Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: (3” x 1”) Polished Pink cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Grateful for the Everyday Magic of You, from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was die-cut with the Banner die from the Fragrant Flowers Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  What a pretty card this turned out to be.  The Fine Shimmer Paper is so beautiful.
