A Study in Red – Something Fancy Valentine

Welcome to the weekend!  Time to play in the Studio…

Several challenges are going Red…and at this time of the year red often goes with a Valentine.  So here is my clean and simple take.

Today’s Line-Up: Festive Friday (#126), Give a Crafter a Cookie (#176), Inkspirational (#282) , Paper Craft Crew (#503) and bringing it all together, Freshly Made (#570) for the sketch.

Here is the result:

SOMETHING FANCY – COUNTRY BOUQUET PUNCH – FF0126 – CC176 – ICB282 – PCC503 – FMS570

Steps:

  • Case Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, Nothing fancy just love, from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink.
  • Top Panel: (4” x 2”) Sweet Sorbet Gingham patterned piece of paper from the Country Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Focal Image – Heart: Real Red Floral patterned piece of paper from the 2022/2023 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack punched out with the Country Bouquet Punch and added to the card with Dimensionals.
  • Embellishments: (5”) Real Red Ribbon from the Real Red & Crumb Cake Ribbon Combo Pack was cut and wrapped around the Basic White cardstock background panel secured by scotch tape and three retired Real Red Buttons from my stash were added to the Gingham top panel using Mini Glue Dots.

Happy is the color, Red!
