Welcome to 2023 – Cheers

Happy New Year.

Starting with a little bit of Cheer to celebrate the New Year.  Welcome back!

A few challenges to get into the spirit…Inspiration Station (#44) for the grown-up version, Just Add Ink (#635) and Atlantic Hearts (#505).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Background Rectangle: (3½” x 2½”) Shaded Spruce cardstock also dry-embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Vertical Cross Strip (2” x 4¼”) Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
• Focal Images: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • Two Champagne Glasses from the retired Sip Sip Hooray stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder. With the coordinating Fill-In stamp, So Saffron ink, stamped off once, was added to the Glasses.
  • The Champagne Glasses were then die-cut with the coordinating die from the retired Sip & Celebrate Dies set.
• Champagne Bubbles:
  • The Champagne Glasses were temporarily adhered to the Blackberry Bliss cardstock and the Bubbles image from the retired Seascape stamp set were added with Versamark ink and heat-set with more Gold Embossing Powder.
  • The Champagne Glasses were removed and the strip was dry-embossed with the retired Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
• Sentiment: (3½” x 2”) Brushed Gold cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Cheers, was die-cut with the word die from the retired Cheers Dies set.

Completing the card, the Champagne Glasses were adhered in place on to the Blackberry Bliss Strip with the left glass popped up with Dimensionals.  All of the elements were then adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
