Sweet Treats – Sweet Candy Canes

Welcome back!  The impending Holiday has kept me busy and will likely do so the closer we get to Christmas.  Had a chance to create a quick little card for you this morning.

Three challenges running with a very similar theme: Cupcake Inspirations (#558), Cookie Challenge (#175) and Use Your Stuff (#472).

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Red, White and Crumb Cake Diagonal Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired Candy Lane Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Cross Strip: (5¼” x 2¾”) Early Espresso cardstock
  • The sentiment, It’s the most wonderful time of the year, from the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder along the bottom edge.
• Focal Image Cross Strip: (5¼” x 2¼”) Gingerbread Houses patterned piece of paper from the same Candy Lane Designer Series Paper pack.

Do you like Gingerbread?  It is a favorite of mine!  These Candy Cane Gum Drop Peppermint Frosted Gingerbread Houses look delicious.
