Diner Cake Slice – Let’s Celebrate

More treats!  Cake, anyone?  Let’s take a break from our Holiday shopping and have something sweet to eat…

Keeping it clean and simple for AAA Cards (#229) with colors from Color Dare (#524) and sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Corner for December.

Here is the result:

DESIGNER TEE – EDEN’S GARDEN – AAACC229 – CD524 – ELLIBELLE’ S CORNER December

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, Let’s celebrate everything, from the Eden’s Garden stamp set was added with Soft Succulent ink.
  • Accent Strips: (⅞” x 3”) Gingham Check patterned papers from the retired Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper pack.  Pale Papaya (for Melon), Soft Succulent (for Mint) and Fresh Freesia (for Wisteria).
  • Background Circles: (1”) Shimmery White cardstock punched with the retired (1”) Circle Punch.
  • Focal Images – Cake Slices: Shimmery White cardstock.
    • The Cake image stamp from the retired Designer Tee stamp set fit the criteria for small baked goods and was stamped three times in the three colors: Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Highland Heather.
    • The Cake images were fussy cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were arranged and adhered with the Cake and Plate popped up with Dimensionals.

What is your favorite type of cake?  I am quite fond of Devil’s Food Cake.
