It’s Tuesday! Time for the Facebook Tuesday Case-ing the Catalog challenge (#382).

My choices were influenced by many current challenges: Theme: Use Your Stuff (#47) Winter/Snow, Inkspirational (#278) Carolers in a Snow Globe and Critter Crazy (#68) for the Cute Mice; Colors: Color Dare (#521); Water Coloring Technique: Happy Little Stampers and Colour Crazy Craft (#44).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Vellum cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (3⅛” x 4⅜”) Silver Foil – Matte Finish cardstock.
- Focal Image Panel: (3” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment, Fa La La, from the Framed & Festive stamp set was stamped with retired Wisteria Wonder ink in the top right corner.
- The Lamp Post image from the Caroling Mice stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
- Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, the Lamp Post was colored. Light Glow – Pale Papaya (for Melon), Bow – Balmy Blue (for Periwinkle) and Wrought Iron Post – retired Basic Black.
- A quick wash of Balmy Blue was added to the Ground Area.
- When dry, the Panel was dry-embossed with the retired Snow Falling Embossing Folder.
- Focal Image – Singing Mice: Basic White cardstock.
- The Three Mice image from same stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with embossing powder.
- Only two Mice were desired and were water colored. Mice: Fur – Smoky Slate and Music Sheet – Balmy Blue. Left Mouse: Jacket and Hat – Highland Heather (for Grape) and Scarf / Hat Pom – Wisteria Wonder (for Wisteria). Right Mouse: Jacket and Hat – Soft Succulent (for Mist) and Scarf / Hat Pom – Soft Sea Foam (for Seabrook).
- When dry, the two desired Mice were fussy cut with Paper Snips.
All the panels were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Singing Mice were popped up with Dimensionals.
I was looking for another chance to play with the Caroling Mice stamp set and today was the day. They are so cute. A lovely happy winter tradition. Do you go caroling?
