Afternoon play time…welcome back to the Studio.
Given the time of year, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, several challenges have a similar theme: Thank You / Thankful / Grateful. I have incorporated the ones from Stampin’ Up! Only (#314), Make My Monday (#187) and the option for the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch (#581).
I chose the colors from Creative Colour (#62) and used the Tools suggested by Happy Little Stampers Stencils and Happy Little Stampers Dies.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Night of Navy cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
- Two of the Stencils from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks set were taped down with Low Tack Tape. Color was added with Blending Brushes in a downward diagonal direction. Top: Shaded Spruce, Middle Top: Tahitian Tide, Middle Bottom: Night of Navy, and Bottom: Tahitian Tide.
- The sentiment, Thank You, from the Hello Beautiful stamp set was stamped directly with Night of Navy ink.
- Rectangle Shape – Three Hexagons: Shaded Spruce, Tahitian Tide, Night of Navy and Basic White cardstock scraps.
- Using all three colors, the Small Leaf image from the Eden’s Garden stamp set was stamped.
- Using two of the Hexagon dies from the Beautiful Shapes Dies set, the Small Leaves and the Accent Mats were die-cut.
The Background Panel was adhered to the card base and the Small Leaf Hexagons were adhered to the Accent Mat Hexagons. Night of Navy on Shaded Spruce, Shaded Spruce on Tahitian Tide and Tahitian Tide on Night of Navy. The Hexagons were popped up with Dimensionals and aligned in a row for a contemporary take on the Sketch.
