Butterfly – Happy Everything Blueprints

Welcome back to the Inque Spot Studio! 

The suggested option for the current Try Stampin’ On Tuesday’s Sketch challenge (#580) is Flight.  I have had the Tim Holtz: Happy Everything Blueprints stamp set for a long time but it had never seen ink.  The Butterfly image felt appropriate for the theme to create a clean and simple “no reason” Note card. 

I chose the colors from the current Color Throwdown challenge (#717) and made a pretty feminine card which I am adding to Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday November challenge.

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
• Rectangle Panel: (2” x 4”) Striped patterned piece of paper from the Hostess Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Image: (2¼” x 1⅝”) Daffodil Delight cardstock
  • The Butterfly image was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.
• Three Shapes – Butterflies: Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Old Olive cardstock scraps punched out with the retired Bitty Butterfly Punch.

All the elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The stamped Butterfly image was popped up with Dimensionals and the three punched Butterflies were adorned with Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a bit of bling.
