Happy Birthday to a Stand-Up Friend

Welcome back!  All set for class tonight, so I thought I would play with a few challenges…

Inspiration and Neutral Color Palette: Just Us Girls (#655), Color Choices and Stamp Set: Retro Rubber (#194) and Sketch: Try Stampin’ On Tuesday’s (#579).

Here is the result:

THE GANG’S ALL MEER – JUGS655 – RRCB194 – TSOT579

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Soft Suede cardstock.
  • Under Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • Two of the Meercat images from the retired The Gang’s All Meer stamp set (Circa 2020) were stamped with Soft Suede ink.
    • The Meercats were colored with Stampin’ Blends: Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Dark So Saffron.
  • Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
    • Two circles were die-cut to showcase the Meercats with the (1¾”) and (1¼”) stitched circle dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Card Front Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • Two additional circles were die-cut to showcase the Meercats and the Accent Mat with the (2⅛”) and (1¾”) stitched circle dies also from the same die set.
    • The Panel was dry-embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Sentiment Label(s): Soft Suede cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday to a Stand-up Friend, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was cut and trimmed with Paper Snips into three pieces.

All the elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch for a gender neutral birthday card for a good friend.
