Happy Tuesday and welcome to the Facebook Tuesday Case-ing the Catalog challenge (#379).

My Halloween design choices were influenced by the following challenges: As You See It (#286), Make My Monday (#186) and Inspire Create (#128)

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Gray cardstock.
- Background Panel: (3½” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
- One of the Decorative Lines from the retired Warm Hearted stamp set was selected as the Spider’s Thread and was stamped in the upper left and lower left areas with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
- Similarly, the Spider from the September 2022 Spooky Treats Paper Pumpkin Kit was also stamped with Versamark and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
- Cross Strip: (4” x 1¾”) Pumpkin Pie cardstock scrap.
- Accent Strip: (4” x 1½”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock scrap.
- The word, BOO, also from the Warm Hearted stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- Embellishment: Basic Black retired Spider Web Doily trimmed to fit.
All the elements were adhered to resemble the sketch. The Spider Web Doily was painted with the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen for a spooky sparkly effect, although it is hard to see in the photograph.
Less than one week until the ghouls and goblins come to visit and I hope none of them “tricks” me with spiders…
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda.
Hope you decide to try your hand at this sketch this week.

So fun, Jolanda – I have some of those doilies still squirreled away, too – great idea for a spider backdrop! Spiders are featuring pretty strong on our challenge, lol. Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

This is a very effective card, Jolanda! My favourite part is the line you used for the spider’s thread! It looks so cool! I also love the sparkly BOO sentiment! Thanks for filling in our blank at As You See It Challenges!

Such a lovely card for such a disturbing topic! I’m not keen on spiders at any time! I do love your layout. The spider doily is a marvel and you’ve used effectively. Thanks for playing along with us again at As You See It.
