Soft Seedlings – Hello

Welcome back!  A Sunday to play in the Studio…

Playing with Color Throwdown (#714) and the sketch over at Atlantic Hearts (#494).

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Sahara Sand / Early Espresso Dotted Grid patterned piece of paper from the He’s The Man Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
• Top Strip: (5¼” x ⅛”) Crushed Curry cardstock scrap.
• Middle Strip: (approximately 5¼” x ⅜”) Midnight Muse cardstock scrap pulled found in my “blue” bin.
• Flags: Early Espresso, Crushed Curry and Midnight Muse cardstock scraps die cut with three of the stitched double flag dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set trimmed at (1⅜”), (1”) and (¾”).
• Shape – Leaves: (5½” x 4¼”) Quarter sheet Sahara Sand cardstock.
  • The Leaf image from the Soft Seedlings stamp set was stamped twice with waterproof Timber Brown Stazon ink.
  • Using a Blending Brush, Crushed Curry ink was added to the Leaves.
  • Using another Blending Brush, retired Dapper Denim ink was added lightly to the Leaves.
  • The Leaves were then fussy cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Label: (1½” x ¾”) Sahara Sand cardstock scrap.
  • The word, hello, from the same stamp set was also stamped with the Timber Brown Stazon ink.
  • Using the retired Ticket Duo Punch, the sentiment was punched out.
  • The edges of the Ticket were brushed with Crushed Curry ink.

All of the elements were arranged and adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Leaves were popped up with Dimensionals.
