Botanical Layers – Aspen Tree

Happy Saturday!  A quick card before I head out for the day.

Playing with the Tic Tac Toe color grid over at Color Dare (#517) and the sketch over at Tuesday Morning (#679).

Here is the result:

BOTANICAL LAYERS – ASPEN DIES – CD517 – TMS679

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Blushing Bride cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the Oval Tree die from the Aspen Dies set.
  • Underlay: (4” x 5¼”) Dotted Silver patterned paper from the now retired Sale-a-bration Silver and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
    • Using a Blending Brush, Blushing Bride ink was added to suggest an early morning sunrise.
  • Accents – Leaves: Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock scrap.
    •  Two Small Leaves and two Large Leaves were die-cut with the Leaf dies, also from the Aspen Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: (2¾” x ⅝”) Blushing Bride cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, You mean the world to me, from the Botanical Layers stamped set was stamped into Versamark ink and then Evening Evergreen ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder.
    • The Label was die-cut with one of the stitched double flag dies from the Stylish Shaped Dies set.

All of the elements were arranged and adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The sentiment was with Dimensionals.

A dreamy trio of colors for a soft  meaningful and sincere card for someone very special.
