Potted Geraniums – Happiness

Another Sunday deadline…so glad that I have time to play in the Studio!

Working with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#493) and the Color Throwdown Challenge (#713).

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Wishing you happiness today and always, from the Potted Geraniums stamp set was stamped with Merry Merlot ink.
• Horizontal Cross Strip: (4” x 1”) Blushing Bride Dotted patterned paper from the 2022/2023 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle: (3”) Merry Merlot Striped patterned paper from the 2022/2023 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (3”) stitched circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Circle Accents: Blushing Bride, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz cardstock scraps die cut with elements from the Geraniums Dies set.
  • Floral Accent: Open Floral Die – Merry Merlot over a fussy cut Blushing Bride Underlay.
  • Leaf Accent: Open Vein Die – Mossy Meadow over Pear Pizzazz Leaf Underlay Die.
• Focal Image – Potted Geranium Plant: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Pot was stamped with Crumb Cake ink using the Two-Step stamps for the Pot with the darker tone over stamped twice.
  • The Leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow ink using the Two-Step stamps for the Leaves with the lighter color stamped off once.
  • The Flowers were stamped with Blushing Bride ink and stamped off once Merry Merlot ink using the Two-Step Floral stamps.
  •  All of the pieces: Pot, Leaves and Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Geraniums Dies set.

All of the elements were arranged on the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals.

Love it when you get to play with some new toys.  The Potted Geraniums Bundle is sure to become a favorite.
