Halloween – Spooky Ghost

Welcome back to the Inque Spot Studio! Catching up on a missed Facebook Case-ing Tuesday challenge (#374) that I didn’t have a chance to do while I was away visiting family.

There are several challenges that incorporate a Halloween theme as well as the attendant colors and I am combining them all with this card. For a list of all the challenges, see below.

Is Halloween your thing?  I enjoy all of the children getting dressed up and their fun bouncing about the street.  I made the treat boxes featured in the September Paper Pumpkin Kit – Spooky Treats but there are fewer children on my immediate street these days, so I used a few of the extras in the box to create the card.

Here is the result:

SPOOKY TREATS SEPTEMBER 2022 PAPER PUMPKIN KIT – HALLOWEEN CARD

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Fresh Freesia cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5½”) Three pieces.
    • Black Glimmer Paper (½”) from my stash,
    • Cut Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, Basic Black, Basic White, Gray Granite and Orchid Oasis Grid patterned Treat Box Sleeve from the Paper Pumpkin October 2022 – Spooky Treats Kit (3”) and
    • Basic Black cardstock (1”).
  • Focal Image: Shimmery White cardstock scrap.
    • The Ghost image from the same Paper Pumpkin Kit stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then fussy cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment: Pumpkin Pie cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Enjoy this Spooky treat, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • The word, Spooky, was then fussy cut.

All of the elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Ghost and sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.

Happy Halloween!
