Hand-Penned Petals – Thank You

One more card for today…chasing down a deadline.

Playing with: Tuesday Morning Sketches (#673) and mixing it up with Color Throwdown (#707), Stamping Up Only (#309), Double Trouble (#119) and Kylie Bertucci’s September International Highlights theme.

Here is the result: 

HAND=PENNED PETALS – NATURE”S HARVEST – TMS673 – CTD707 – DT119 – INTENATIONAL HGHILIGHTS September

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Lower Panel: (4” x 3”) Black and White Dotted patterned piece of paper from the retired Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Horizontal Cross Strip: (4” x ¾”) Smoky Slate cardstock scrap.
  • Focal Image – Flower Spray: (3” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Floral Spray image from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blend Markers.  Large Flowers: Light Polished Pink with Light Calypso Coral, Medium Flowers: Light Calypso Coral, Small Flowers: Light Blackberrry Bliss, Flower Centers: Light Daffodil Delight and Leaves: a mix of Light Old Olive, Light Daffodil Delight and Light Balmy Blue.
    • The Floral Spray was die-cut with the coordinating die from the Penned Flowers Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: (3” x ¾”) Vellum scrap
    • The sentiment, Thank You, from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the smaller stitched banner die from the Stylish Shaped Dies set.

All of the elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Floral Spray was popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty thank you card.  Can never have enough of those on hand…
