To A Classic – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!  Hope you are enjoying the Holiday Weekend.

One of our favorite activities is to go Cruising with our 1966 Classic Impala.  This is a passionate hobby of my husband.

Isn’t she a beauty?

I am playing with the following challenges: Cupcake Inspiration (#551) which I missed, Just Add Ink (#619), CAS on Friday (#239), Creative Colour (#52) and bringing it all together with the sketch from Freshly Made (#551).

Here is the result:

HE”S ALL THAT BUNDLE – JAI619 – COS239 – CCC52 – FMS551 – CIC551

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Front Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Kraft Paper dry embossed with the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Three Horizontal Cross Strips: (4¼” x ¾”) Black and White patterned pieces of paper from the retired Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack and (4¼” x ½”) Striped Cherry Cobbler piece of patterned paper from the 2022/2023 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Black and White patterned papers were colored with Pool Party and Bermuda Bay inks using Blending Brushes.
  • Focal Image: (1½” x 2⅝”) Kraft Paper.
    • The Car image/sentiment from the He’s All That stamp set was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink.
    • Cherry Cobbler and Smoky Slate accents were added to the Car with Stampin’ Blend Markers.
    • The Car image/sentiment was die-cut with one of the dies from the coordinating All That Dies set.
    • Color was added to the edge of the die-cut with Bermuda Bay ink using a Sponge Dauber.

The colored strips of patterned paper were added to the front panel and added to the Very Vanilla card base.  The Car image/sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

Guess who has a birthday this month?  This will be the perfect card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda.

  1. A great man card – I really like the effect of the dry embossing and the way you have used the colours in the stripes in your image. Chantell Just Add Ink
