Sending Smiles – Thank You

A very clean and simple card for you today…I completely ran out of time yesterday and a deadline is nearing on one of my favorite challenges.

CAS Colour & Sketches (#483) for the cool colors and marrying them up with the Sending Smiles stamp set and the current Sunday Stamps (#290) Sketch.

Here is the result: 

SENDING SMILES BUNDLE – FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS – FRESH CUT STEMS DIES – CC&S483 – SSC290

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Using the Big Shot Embossing Mats with the Big Shot Machine, I dry-embossed the Rick-Rack die from the new Fresh Cut Stems Dies set twice to create the right Rectangle Panel suggested in the sketch.
    • The Floral Stem image was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink into the Column space.
    • The sentiment, Thank You, from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set was chosen because it was small enough to fit on the left side.  The sentiment was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink.
    • Using the Simply Scored® Scoring Tool, embossed lines were added above and below the sentiment to create the Cross Strip suggested by the sketch.
  • Focal Image – Circle Shape – Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • Two of the Floral images were stamped with Melon Mambo and Orchid Oasis ink. 
    • The Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Sending Dies set.
    • I did do a little trimming to reduce the white edges.

The background panel was adhered to the card base and the Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals.

A bright and pretty Thank You card is quickly created in a clean and simple (CAS) style.

    1. They are brand new. Available to customers next month in September only while supplies last. New Dies (Perfect Partners) that coordinate with stamp sets in both the Annual and Mini Catalogs.
