Hello – Garden Birdhouses

It’s Sunday!  And another challenge deadline has snuck up on me…so, indulge me.

Working with the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Sketch (#568), the Colors suggested by Creative Colour Challenges (#50) and picking up two elements from the Just Add Ink (#617) Choose Two Challenge.

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Early Espresso cardstock.
• Center Panel: (2¾” x 4) Starry Sky Gingham patterned paper from the 2022/2024 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Little Floral Stems from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder across the lower portion of the panel.
• Accent Mat: (2⅞” x 4⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
• Side Tabs and Flag: Flirty Flamingo cardstock scraps.
  • Three (¾”) small stitched Circles and the (3⅜” x 1”) stitched Banner were die-cut using dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The three Circles were tucked behind the Center Panel.
  • The edge of the Banner was trimmed and added across the Center Panel.
• Sentiment Circle: Early Espresso cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, hello, from the same stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and also heat-set with White Embossing Powder
  • The sentiment was die-cut with another of the stitched circle dies (1⅝”) from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All of the elements were assembled and adhered to the card base.  The sentiment circle was popped up with Dimensionals.

A challenging combination of colors and I opted to feature the Early Espresso and pop it up with the Flirty Flamingo.  The patterned paper color, Starry Sky, acts as a nice foil for the little white flowers for friendly Hello card.
