Trees For Sale – Making Spirits Bright

It’s Sunday and I get to play!

Coming up this week, the Facebook Stampin’ Through the Catalog stamp set featured is Trees For Sale.  I am using this stamp set and the free Sale-a-bration companion Tree Lot Dies for the current Just Add Ink (#616) sketch and the Use Your Stuff (#454) theme.

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Soft Suede cardstock.
  • The Dog Paw Prints were stamped with Soft Suede ink.
  • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
• Circle: (3”) White Glimmer Paper die-cut with the (3”) stitched circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Decoration:
• (A) Trees: Garden Green and Granny Apple Green cardstock scraps die-cut with all three Tree dies from the Tree Lot Dies set.
• (B) For Sale Sign: Crumb Cake cardstock scrap. The Trees For Sale Sign image was stamped with Soft Suede ink and die-cut with the coordinating die.
• (C) Dog: Crumb Cake cardstock scrap.   The Dog image was stamped with Crumb Cake ink and the details were drawn on with the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker.
  • The Dog image was then die-cut with the coordinating die.
• Sentiment Label: (2¾” x ⅝”) Garden Green cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Making Spirits Bright, from the Vintage Christmas stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was then die-cut with the stitched banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All of the elements were assembled and adhered to resemble the sketch.  Two Trees, the For Sale Sign, Dog and Sentiment Banner were all popped up with Dimensionals.

What fun to take a trip to the Woods to look for the perfect Christmas Tree.  Happy Holidays!
