Bouquet of Thanks

Welcome to the weekend!  Do you have any wonderful plans for the day?

A few challenges tweaked my interest…

Festive Friday (#113) options led to the choice of Sketch: Global Design Project (#350) and Color Style: Inkspirational (#269).

Here is the result:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Aperture Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic Black cardstock die-cut with the (2⅞”) circle die from the Layering Circles Dies set.
  • Aperture Image – Flowers: (3½” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Bouquet of Thanks stamp was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • The image was fitted in behind the aperture opening.
  • Banner Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Thank You, from the Wildflower Path stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • Using the single Banner die from the retired Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies set, the sentiment was die-cut.
    • The folds of the Banner were drawn in and the edges were highlighted with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
    • A bit of shadow was added with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend.

The Aperture Panel and the Banner were adhered to the card base.

Love the drama of a black and white monochromatic combination.  All that was left was to add a bit of bling…the third choice – Enamel Embellishments.  I chose the black and white enamel Classic Mat Dots and affixed them to the Banner and the Aperture Panel completing the card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me.  Cheers,  Jolanda.
