Hi and welcome back to the Studio! A number of current challenges involve color and specifically the new Stampin’ Up! 2022 / 2024 In-Colors.
CAS Colours & Sketches (#475); Sunday Stamps (#285); and Inspire Create (#119):

So, I have combined them with the current Global Design Challenge (#348) to case the layout of a card created by Kristin Frattin keeping it clean and simple, only stamps, ink and paper to create a card for the monthly Stampin’ Up! Simple Stamping Challenge for June.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Orchid Oasis cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (3½” x 4¾”) Basic White cardstock.
- The panel was secured to a piece of Grid Paper with Low Tack Tape.
- Using Low Tack Tape, a square opening, approximately (2½” x 2½”) was created utilizing the Grid Paper lines.
- Copy Paper was used to cover the top and bottom of the panel.
- Using a Blending Brush, Tahitian Tide ink was added to color the open Square.
- The Invoice image from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set was stamped three times diagonally across the Square with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Starry Sky ink.
- The Masking materials (Low Tack Tape and Copy Paper) were removed.
- The sentiment, Just Because, from the same stamp set was also stamped with 2nd Generation Starry Sky ink under the Square and to the right side.
- Focal Image – Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
- The two smaller Rose images and the Double Leaf image from the Happiness Abounds stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and allowed to dry for a few minutes.
- Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, the Roses were loosely painted with Sweet Sorbet ink directly from the Ink Pad Lid.
- Similarly, the two Leaf images were water colored with Parakeet Party ink.
- Once dry, the Roses and Leaves were Fussy Cut with Paper Snips.
And we are done! All of the elements were arranged and adhered to resemble the original sketch of Kristen’s card. The forward Rose was popped up with Dimensionals.
With some pretty colors of ink, some paper and a stamp set or two, you can create lovely cards. I hope you like this one.
