Tropical Best Wishes

A paper crafter by nature is a paper lover and more than not a paper hoarder.  Every so often you come across items you just have to have…in my case Lark Crafts paper books from Sterling Publishing: For the Love of Paper.  Today, I used a sheet from the Botanicals collection.

A quick and simple card for two challenges.  Global Design Project (#347) and Time Out (#216). Sometimes less is more…

Here is the result:

JOLANDA JOHNSTONE – THE INQUE SPOT STUDIO – FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS – GDP347 – TOC216

Steps:

  • Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Accent Panel: (2¾” x 4¾”) Blushing Bride cardstock.
    • The sentiment, Wishing You the Very Best, from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink at the bottom of the panel.
  • Top Panel: (2¾” x 4”) Tropical Leaves patterned piece of paper.

I love it when a piece of beautifully designed patterned paper can do all the work and carry the theme in such a graphic and bold way.  A truly nice all-purpose greeting card.

Thanks for spending a some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda.
