Nothing Better Than – Summer Cocktails

Having a bit of fun with a few challenges…for a quick and easy summer card.

Sketch: TGIF (#372); Color: Paper Players (#595), Theme: Make My Monday (#176) and Crafter’s Café (#286).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Pacific Point cardstock.
  • The sentiments, A Day Without, Cocktails and Is Like, Ummm…, from the Nothing Better Than stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Cross Panel Accent: (4¼” x 2¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Cross Panel Focal: (4” x 2″) Basic White cardstock.
  • Three Cocktail Glasses were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Drink and Ice image was added to the Glasses with Pacific Point and Real Red inks.
  • The Umbrella Fill-In image was also stamped with these two colors.
  • The Citrus Wedge Fill-In image was stamped with Parakeet Party and Daffodil Delight inks.

Keeping the card simple, just stamps, ink and paper, the elements were adhered to match the sketch.

What is more fun in the Summer than having a Cocktail or two?  But every day?  Why not!  Summer is definitely here in South Carolina and it is downright hot…pushing beyond 100 degrees.  Want to join me for a drink?
