Shiny Celebration – Let’s Celebrate You

Having a play with the current Paper Craft Crew Theme (#469) and Sketch (#470) Challenges for a quick Scrap Card.

Here is the result:

CELEBRATE SUNFLOWERS – PAPER SCRAPS – PCC469 – PCC470

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Accent Panel: (3” x 4¼”) Gold Vellum
  • Scrap Strips: approximately (3½” to 4”) by (½” to ⅝”)
    • Left to right: Black Glitter, Mother of Pearl, Silver Foil, Blue Sparkle (miscellaneous), Brushed Copper, Dazzling Diamond Glitter and Brushed Gold.
    • All ends were trimmed with a different shape using a variety of punches.
  • Accent Mat (Sentiment Label): (3½” x 1¼”) White Vellum
    • The bottom edge was torn.
  • Sentiment Label: (3¼” x 1”) Blue Sparkle (miscellaneous) cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Let’s Celebrate You, from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
    • The bottom edge was torn.

Combining Shiny Papers with a Celebratory greeting using the suggested sketch makes for a quick scrappy card.  The silver sentiment did not photograph well but looks really pretty in person.
