Today, I am playing with the Theme and Sketch from Try Stampin’ On Tuesdays (#534); Theme – Seize the Birthday (#238); Colors – Color Throw Down (#692) and Tools – Can You Handle the Pressure (#7).
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Highland Heather cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Quilt Top Embossing Folder for the Faux Stitching motif.
- Three Shapes – Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
- The smaller Floral image from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped three times. Once with Blushing Bride ink and twice with Highland Heather ink.
- The Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating die from the Artistic Dies set.
- Additional Leaf: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The cardstock was covered with adhesive and then dipped into a box containing Gilded Leafing. Once smoothed with a brush, the Leaf was die-cut with another of the dies from the Artistic Dies set.
- Banner Flag: (3½” x 1¼”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Scrolled Stitching image from the retired Tin of Cards stamp set was stamped along the top and bottom edges with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder, again for the Faux Stitching motif.
- The sentiment, Thank You, from the Hello Beautiful stamp set was stamped in Highland Heather ink.
All of the elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
I love to receive birthday gifts and it is fun to create thank you cards and send them off letting my friends know how much I appreciated their thoughtfulness.
