Welcome back! Creating for a few other challenges this afternoon…
Working with the TGIF Challenge Sketch (#351) keeping it clean and simple using the Theme suggested by the Time Out Challenge (#205) and sharing it with Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge (#293) and the Crafter’s Café Challenge (#281).
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Additional Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
- Four Strips: Cardstock scraps. (1⅞” x ¾”) Crumb Cake dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, (2½” x ½”) Sahara Sand dry-embossed with the retired Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, (2⅞” x ⅝”) Crumb Cake dry-embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and (3¼” x 1”) Soft Suede. The sentiment, yah for love!, from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- Hearts: (⅝” x ⅝”) Crumb Cake cardstock scraps. The Hearts were drawn free-hand with the Whisper White Watercolor Pencil. The centers of the Hearts were colored with the Real Red Stampin’ Blend. The Hearts were then fussy cut by hand with Paper Snips.
All of the pieces were then adhered to match the sketch and the Hearts were popped up with Dimensionals.
A clean and simple little love card with just a pop of color. The sentiment is not too over the top and quite suitable for a friend or a not so mushy loving type of person.
