Merriest Moments – Holly, Jolly and Bright

I have created a clean and simple card – for CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge (#447) and the Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge (#289).

Here is the result:

MERRIEST MOMENTS – MERRIEST FRAMES DIES – STITCHED GREENERY DIE – PEACEFUL NOEL – CC&S447 – SUOC289

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.  The sentiment, May your Christmas be…, from the retired Peaceful Noel stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink and again in Garden Green ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder.  I like the shine and the sentiment works well with my little Poinsettias focal image(s).
  • Vertical Cross Panel: (1½” x 5½”) Garden Green cardstock die-cut with the Stitched Greenery Die.  I really like the Leaf pattern as it adds just enough interest.
  • Focal Image(s) – Poinsettias: Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight cardstock scraps.  From the Merriest Moments stamp set, the smallest Leaf was stamped (9) times and the Berry centers, (3) times, with Versamark ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder.  The images were then die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Merriest Frames Dies set.

A fun bright clean Christmas card.  I really like how the red and yellow Poinsettia pop against the green.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers, Jolanda!
