Our current challenge at CARDZ 4 GUYZ (#279) is COLOR: Yellow, Blue and Gray.

Do you know Guy that is a straight shooter but has a sense of humor and likes to have a bit of fun? Well, that is my guy. All Stars, in a great variety colors, has been his choice of shoe for as long as I have known him. His birthday is this month and I hope it is an Epic one this year!
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Keeping it simple, I selected a Basic White card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”). I stamped two images from the Textures & Frames FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set with the challenge colors directly to the card front. The Rectangle Frame image in full strength Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Night of Navy inks and the Rectangle Texture image overlapping the Frame with 2nd Generation stamping (stamped off once) for a lighter tone of the same colors.
- The sentiment, You’re Awesome, from the retired Epic Celebrations stamp set was Shadow Stamped in the lower left corner with 2nd Generation Memento Tuxedo Black and Smoky Slate inks. Shadow Stamping Technique: Stamping an image once and stamping it again with a slight shift to create a shadow.
- For the Focal image(s), I stamped the Sneakers from the same stamp set, Epic Celebrations, three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends in the same three colors. The Sneakers were fussy cut with Paper Snips and popped up over the stamped background shapes with Dimensionals.
I love that my guy has this colorful quirk to his personality!
