Floral Accented Box

Welcome!  Today I bring you a 3D project.

The team over at the Make My Monday Challenge wanted anything but a card for the current challenge (#155).  So, I decided to create a pretty gift box.

A rummage through my Die stash turned up the Spiral Flower Die, the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and the Window Frames Collection Dies.  All retired but a die is a die and is always useful.

Here is the result:

FLORAL GIFT BOX – SPIRAL FLOWER DIE – AUTUMN ACCENTS DIE – WINDOW FRAMES DIES – MMM155 – HLS DIES AUGUST 2021

Steps:

  • I paired up Blushing Bride cardstock with some retired Bravo Burgundy cardstock to create the vintage type Roses.  So easy to do when you already have the Spiral Flower Die strip cut.  I used a little Isopropyl Alcohol spritz to soften the cardstock so it was easier to shape the Flowers.
  • I die-cut several Leaves with the Autumn Accents Die from Old Olive and Garden Green cardstock.  They were spritzed with alcohol and crumpled to give them a vintage chic look.
  • To make the gift box:  Crumb Cake cardstock.  Box Bottom (6¾”) square and scored on each side at (1½”), cut in on two sides and adhered together.  The Box Top needs to be a little bit bigger to fit over the bottom, so a (5⅝”) square scored on all sides at (1”).  Before cutting the sides and creating the box top, the Window opening was die-cut with the (3”) Window Frame Die and a (3¼”) square of acetate Window Sheet was adhered over the opening with Mini-Glue Dots.

To complete the Gift Box, the Leaves were adhered to the corner of the Box Top and then the Roses were snugged in.  I chose to add a little Old Olive Linen Thread bow to the opposite corner.

Add a little coordinating tissue paper to wrap your small gift and you now have a lovely presentation box.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!

As this project used a number of Dies, I will add it to the Happy Little Stamper August Dies Challenge.
