Better Than Ever – Every Year!

Our current challenge at CARDZ 4 GUYZ (#277) is AGE IS JUST A NUMBER.

and just like fine wine, you get better with age…

I hope I inspire you to join us with this challenge and that you will create your own “Age” card!

Here is what I came up with:

TUSCAN VINEYARD – CONGRATS – HARVEST MEADOW DSP – C4G277 – TTTC125 – RRCB164

Steps:

  • Focal Scene: (2¼” x 1½”) Basic White cardstock.  The Vineyard Scene from the retired Tuscan Vineyard stamp set (circa 2016) was stamped with Evening Evergreen ink and then trimmed to size.
  • Accent Square: (2½ x 2½”) Evening Evergreen cardstock.  The truncated sentiment, …getting a little bit older…, from the retired Congrats stamp set (circa 2009) was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Background Panel : (3⅝” x 4⅞”) The predominately Soft Succulent colored piece of patterned paper from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper pack was chosen.  The Bunch of Grapes image from the Tuscan Vineyard stamp set was stamped in the upper left corner with Evening Evergreen ink.  White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel and secured in place with a bit of Scotch Tape.
  • Background Accent Panel (4″ x 5¼”) Evening Evergreen cardstock.

To finish off the card, I chose a Soft Succulent card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) adhering all panels and popping up the focal scene with Dimensionals.

The combination of Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen is a favorite and looks so nice with the stamped image.

What have you got in your stash that will work for the theme…Age is Just a Number?  I look forward to seeing what you create.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!

The layout I created and the materials I used fit with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (#125) and the use of retired stamp sets qualifies for the Retro Rubber Challenge (#164).

  1. I always love everything you do and this is beautiful! I don’t think I remember seeing that stamp set (I am going to have to back to my old catalog to see it) but obviously it was one that was a sleeper! This is a beautiful scene and the background you created is perfect. I love monochromatic and these greens are very soothing! And so happy you shared it with us at Retro Rubber this week!
