Feels Like Home – Missing You

The end of the month is quickly approaching and I have not yet participated in the Stampin’ Up! July Color Challenge.  Time to fix that!

I chose to do a quick water-colored image to play along with the Happy Little Stampers July Watercolor Challenge.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Focal Image – Scene: (3⅜” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.  The Scene image was stamped with Basic Gray ink and then colored with Watercolor Pencils.  Foliage – Garden Green, Door Frame and Sidewalk – Basic Gray and Planter Pots and Bricks – Cajun Craze from both Assortment #1 and #2 Watercolor Pencil Sets.  The Door and Bike were colored with Misty Moonlight ink.  To get the water-color effect, the colors were smoothed out using a Blender Pen. 
• Accent Mat: (3⅝” x 2¾”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
• Inside Sentiment Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.  The sentiment, Missing You, was stamped with Cajun Craze ink in the lower right corner to show after the Fancy Fold card base was completed.
• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼” and 1¼”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.  The card was folded in half and the (1¼”) score was folded back upon itself on the front and adhered in place.
• Accent Panels: (1½” x 5¼”) and (1” x 5¼”) Misty Moonlight colored paper pieces from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper pack were adhered to the card front.

To complete this card, the focal image scene was popped up with Dimensionals taking care to only put them on the left side so the card will open nicely.

A pretty little water-colored image using the suggested colors.  Let me know what you think.
