Just Want to Say – Happy Birthday

Who is a star in your life?  Celebrate them in a big way…

Inspiration from the following:

Here is the result:

Steps:

• DSP Panel: (3¾” x 5½”) Neutrals Family Designer Series Paper Stack (retired Smoky Slate Dotted pattern). The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set was added with Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the bottom right corner.  To create the Frame opening, I used the (2⅞”) square die from the retired Layering Square Dies set and placed it to the right just above the Happy Birthday.  A (3¼”) square of Basic White cardstock was fitted in behind the Frame opening.
• Die-Cut Sentiment: Basic Black cardstock die-cut with the words, Just Want to Say, from the Floral Gallery Dies set and adhered in to the open space on to the Basic White square.
• Stars: (3”), (2”), (1”) and (½”) Daffodil Delight, Basic Black and Smoky Slate cardstock scraps die-cut with the retired Star Dies and retired small Star Punch. For texture, the Stars were dry-embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

All the elements were arranged as per the sketch and adhered to a Basic Black card base (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”).

A fun bright bold birthday card.  Unisex and all age appropriate.  Sending this one out to a friend who has a day to celebrate very soon!
