Having a little fun combining a number of challenges. I sometimes think we are all on a collective wave as often as not different groups think similarly…
SKETCH: Freshly Made Sketch Challenges (#493); COLOR: Color Hues Challenges (#21); SUBJECT, THEME and/or MATERIAL TYPE: The Flower Challenge (#58); and THEME and/or MATERIAL TYPE: The Paper Players Challenge (#548).
Here is the result:

Steps:
- Color: Red (Poppy Parade) and Blue (Not Quite Navy). I sourced the retired Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper for the Poppy Parade Spotted Stripe pattern (1½” x 5¼”) and the retired Designer Series Paper Stack for the Not Quite Navy Stripe pattern (4” x 5¼”).
- Flowers: Cardstock scraps – Basic White, Poppy Parade and Not Quite Navy all die-cut with four of the shapes from the Pierced Blossoms Dies set.
- Sentiment Label: (2” x ⅝”) Basic White cardstock scrap. The sentiment, I Like You, from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set was truncated and just the three words were colored with the Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker. The sentiment was then die-cut with the little banner die from the Sailing Home Dies set.
Each element was arranged as per the sketch and adhered to a Basic White card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”).
A fresh card! A few of these challenges were issued just before the July 4th weekend, hence the stripes, stars, dots and colors. I like red, white and blue and it is fun to play outside of Americana or Nautical themes. Hope you like the card.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

So pretty Jolanda – and your challenges were definitely lining up for this one! I love that you used your stripes with florals and even though you went with red, white and blue created something other than a patriotic card. Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
