A quick post showing you what I made for a challenge that is due today.
Working with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#422) and mixing it up with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (#115).
The May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Batter Up! had the ideal Sports motif and the sketch worked really nice for the theme.
Here is the result:
Steps:
I chose to use one of the original card bases from the kit. A Wood background.
I cut the card front of another card base, The Jersey Stripe down (4” x 2¾”). I stamped the sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set with Soft Suede ink in the upper left corner. I then stamped the sentiment, All Star, from the Batter Up! stamp set from the kit in Real Red ink in the center area. Finally, I stamped the sentiment, You’re So Fly, from the January 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit – One in a Chameleon in Night of Navy ink to the lower right.
I chose to use the die-cut Baseball that came with the kit for part of the lower right shape suggested by the sketch. A Die-Cut.
To complete the Sports motif, I stamped two Baseball Bats with Soft Suede ink stamped off once (2nd Generation) and the Baseball Cap with Night of Navy ink. The images were fussy cut with Paper Snips. Sports.
All the elements were adhered to match the suggested sketch. A quick and easy Guy card. Change the colors and it can be a cute Girl card. Perfect for those that love Baseball!
