Deadlines are looming and I am playing with The Spot Challenge (#163) and using the colors from the Color Throw Down Challenge (#644).
And this is the result:
Steps:
On the Background Panel (4” x 5¼”), I stamped the Watercolor Image from the Artistically Inked stamp set in So Saffron ink above the Cross Strip area and twice in Smoky Slate ink below the Cross Strip area.
I chose to use one of the Black and White patterns from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack for the Cross Strip (4” x ⅝”) and adhered it to the Background Panel.
The larger Bamboo Stalk from the Bamboo Beauty stamp set was stamped once to the left in full strength Memento Tuxedo Black ink and again (2nd Generation) a little to the right and a little bit lower.
The smaller Bamboo Stalk was stamped off on Grid Paper and then to the right side of the Background Panel (2nd Generation) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and again (3rd Generation) a little to the right and a little bit lower.
For the Tag element (1⅝” x 3”) , I stamped a scrap of Basic White cardstock with (2nd Generation) So Saffron ink using the Rectangle from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set and then trimmed it. The upper corners were snipped to create the Tag. The sentiment, You Are So Loved, and the Bamboo Frond, from the Bamboo Beauty stamp set were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the Signature Block was stamped in Smoky Slate ink.
To complete the Tag, I punched a small Circle from a piece of Basic Black cardstock scrap with the retired (⅜”) Circle Punch adding it to the top of the Tag. A small Bow was added to the Tag. I used the retired (⅛”) Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon as this fit very well with the color scheme and the size of the Tag. The Tag was then popped up and added to the card front.
To tie in the black stamped elements, I opted for a Basic Black card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼’)
I like how the So Saffron inked image appears to be sunshine warming up the misty morning of the Bamboo Grove.
