So many of the challenges that I like to do have deadlines that fall on Sunday. So here is another quick post.
Working with the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge (#607) and mixing it up with the Card Concept Challenge (#156).
Who doesn’t love a little Red, White and Blue? Such a fresh combination. Ahoy, there…Come on Board!
Here is the result:

Steps:
I stamped two different patterned Squares (1⅝”) from the All Squared Away stamp set. One in Night of Navy ink and the other in Real Red ink. These two patterns reminded me of the Waves and Air Bubbles one finds when spending time in the sea.
The Squares were matted in opposing Real Red and Night of Navy scraps of cardstock (1⅞”).
The Nautical Rope, from the Sailing Home stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink in to the center of the Basic White Background Panel (5¼” x 4”). The panel was then dry-embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
The Anchor, from the same stamp set was also stamped in Smoky Slate ink on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock. The image was then die-cut with the coordinating Smooth Sailing Die.
The sentiment, Thanks, from the same stamp set was inked in Versamark ink and stamped on to a scrap piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and heat-set with White Embossing Powder. The sentiment was then die-cut with the little banner die from the Smooth Sailing Die set.
The Sailing Wheel was die-cut from a scrap of Smoky Slate cardstock with another of the Dies from the same set.
All the elements were adhered to match the suggested sketch on to a Smoky Slate card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”).
A simple sketch that was quick to execute. Lots of possibilities with this one.
