Expressions in Ink – You Are So Special

I couldn’t resist The Spot Challenge (#162) this week.  Case the Designer: Maheswari Rajaguru.

I took a browse through her Pinterest page and selected this card to CASE.  Copy and Selectively Edit.

And this is the result:

Steps:

For the Ombre Panel (3¾” x 3”), I chose to cut up one of the Evening Evergreen Ombre Gift Bags.

For the Triangles (2⅝” x 1⅝”), I chose the Green Ink sheet from the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper and cut three Triangles with the Stitched Triangle Die.

For the Background Panel (4” x 5¼”), I chose Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I mixed Evening Evergreen ink with water and with my trusty craft Toothbrush, I flicked color on to the panel to create the Splatter.

For the Focal image, I opted to die-cut the Leaves from the Artistic Dies set from Gold Foil cardstock.

For the Sentiment Label (2⅛” x 1”), I chose the sentiment, You Are So Special, from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder on to a scrap of Evening Evergreen cardstock.

I decided to forgo the ribbon element as there was really no place for it.

Once all of the elements were adhered to the Evening Evergreen card base, I added Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to complete the card.

Maheswari makes some very lovely cards and it was fun to chose one and CASE it.  Hope you like my version.
