Treasured Moments – Butterfly

The colors chosen by The Spot Challenge Team this week – TSC #161 are fun and bright and I paired them with the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge – TMS #605 to create this pretty card.

Here is what I created…

TREASURED MOMENTS – BRILLIANT WINGS DIES – TSC161 – TMS605

Sketch (Card) Elements:

Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored @ 4¼”) Granny Apple Green

Background Panel: (4 “x 5¼”) Fresh Freesia cardstock and die-cut the Splatter Spots with that die from the Brilliant Wings Dies and then dry-embossed the panel with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

Squares: (1¾”) Melon Mambo cardstock dry-embossed with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder. I chose Melon Mambo over Magenta Madness because I preferred the brighter color against the Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green.

Rectangle: (1¾” x 3½”) Granny Apple Green cardstock dry-embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder.

Shape: (2½” x 2”) Brilliant Wings Die Butterfly in solid Basic White cardstock and the coordinating cut-out Butterfly overlay in Fresh Freesia cardstock..

Sentiment Label: (2½” x ½”) The sentiment, You Are a Treasure, from the Treasured Moments stamp set stamped in Melon Mambo ink on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die-cut with the die from the Potted Succulents Dies set.

The bright colors were fun to work with and I wanted to use them boldly for this project.
