All Stitched Up! – Weekend Challenge – Spring Flowers Theme

This week’s Weekend Challenge to keep you stamping is a theme based.  The image I chose is the other half of the adage: Spring Showers bring May Flowers.  Take from it what you will.  Be inspired by the image and/or the colors.  Have fun with it!

I chose the sketch layout from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday’s (TSOT #505) and the colors from the Cookie Challenge (CC156).

Here is what I created…

Sketch (Card) Elements:

Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored @ 4¼”) Basic White

Background Panel: (3¾”x 5”) Purple Posy cardstock dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

Flag: (1½” x 4¼’) Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper flagged with the Banner Triple Punch.

Rectangle: (2” x 3”) Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper.

Shape: (2¾” x 1½”) Stitched Nested Label Die in Basic White.

Sentiment Label: (2½” x ½”) The sentiment, You Are on my Mind, from the Simply Succulents stamp set stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die-cut with the coordinating die from the Potted Succulents Dies set.

Focal Image Collage:  Several Flowers and Leaves were die-cut with the Pierced Bloom Dies.  The colors chosen were pastels that were inspired by the cookie photograph.  Scraps of Highland Heather, Purple Posy, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent cardstock.  These dies are perfect for using up smaller pieces of cardstock.

A bevy of Spring Flowers in soft Spring Pastel colors.  A special card for a special friend.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!
