Having fun with a few more challenges…
Sketch – Just Add Ink (#553); Subject – CAS on Sunday (#204) and Color – AS You See It (#249).
And this is the result:
Steps:
- I chose the sweet little Honey Bear from the retired A Little Wild stamp set for the Baby. Inked in Soft Suede to the left side of a Basic White panel (3¾” x 2”). From the same stamp set, a little Grass was stamped in Mint Macaron ink. The Honey Bear was colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends: Light Soft Suede, A bit of Light Crumb Cake, a touch of Light Flirty Flamingo and the Bumble Bee in Dark So Saffron and Light Daffodil Detail. A few details were highlighted with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. When complete, the panel was dry-embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
- Using the colors suggested by the color challenge, four strips were cut (½” x 2¾”) from scraps of Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, So Saffron and Soft Suede cardstock. The strips were dry-embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.
- Using the Stitched Whimsey Dies, the background panel (5¼” x 4”) was “stitched”.
- The sentiment, Hello Little Baby, from the retired Sweet Little Sentiments stamp set was stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock (½” x 1⅞”) that was also dry-embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.
I opted for a Mint Macaron card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) to keep the baby card soft looking. All the elements were arranged as per the sketch.
Sweet colors with a sweet theme on a versatile clean and simple sketch. I like it!
