Celebrating how friends help us through it all.
Positive Thoughts is a great stamp set. I love the nature elements and the sentiments. The one I used: Friends like you …mean more every year was split apart with the second half stamped inside the card.
The layout for this card was inspired by the current Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge – PCC420.
And this is the result:
I wanted to keep the graphic design as suggested by the blocks in the sketch. I chose a monochromatic scheme for the same reason.
Six Butterflies and one Feather were stamped in Versamark on to a strip of Basic Gray cardstock and then heat set with White Embossing Powder. The five Butterflies and the Feather were die-cut with the (1⅜”) Layering Squares Die. The sixth Butterfly was die-cut with the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Die.
Six Basic White cardstock squares were die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Shapes Die.
The sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray ink on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die-cut using the longer label die from the Potted Succulents Dies set.
The back panel (4” x 5¼”) is Basic Gray and was dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
All the elements were arranged on a Basic White card base as per the sketch. The sixth Butterfly was added to the top left square to create a flutter dimension (Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the spine only) and the sentiment was popped up over the Feather with Dimensionals.
A clean sketch, easy to complete with just square shapes. Lots of pieces but a nice versatile layout.
