A Wish For Everything – Lucky Me to Have A Treasured Friend

This is my take on the Cue Word – LUCK as I play along with the CASology Challenge – Week 385. 

Here is what I created:

These are the steps I followed:

• On a scrap of Tranquil Tide cardstock (retired), but one of my favorite colors, I stamped the Drop Mandela image from the stamp set Treasured Medallion in Versamark Ink and heat set it with Gold Embossing Powder.  With a Fine-Tipped Paint Brush, I applied a tiny bit of Bleach to lighten some details in the image.  For interest, I die-cut the image with one of the Stitched Triangles Dies.
• I chose the sentiments, Lucky You and Merry from the A Wish For Everything stamp set. “LUCKY” and “ME” were inked with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped onto a scrap of Soft Seafoam cardstock.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig positioning tool to line up the “ME” to the “LUCKY”.
• I chose the sentiment, You’re the Kind of Person…, from the In This World stamp set (retired) because it was the closest I could find for my original idea (Lucky Me to have a Friend like You!).  The sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on to a Soft Seafoam panel.  The “Lucky Me” was trimmed and adhered before the panel was dry-embossed with the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder.
• The Mandela triangle was positioned and adhered to the panel and the completed panel was mounted on to a Tranquil Tide card base.

Such a nice contrast between the riche color of Tranquil Tide (substitute Pretty Peacock) and Soft Seafoam.  The small touch of gold carries this further.  I know that I am very fortunate to have a few friends that make such a difference in my life.  I am celebrating them today!
